Christmas market in Verket

December 16th - 17th, 2023

A big thank you to all craftsmen, visitors, and our staff, as well as the Choir Stämning from the By-Folkärna parish, Avesta Folk Dance Guild, Neros Hyrverk, Avesta-Grytnäs parish, Martina Åberg & Ullrica Bengts, who made this year's Christmas Market so successful. There were 4859 visitors over the two days, which is 505 more than last year.

Verket - Dalarna's most spectacular Christmas market venue welcomes visitors the weekend before Christmas Eve.

Bring your family, friends, neighbors, or come as you are to experience the Christmas spirit together with us in a heartwarming community among sparkling lights.

After strolling among the well-stocked market stalls in the frosty depths of the Santa's castle, you can warm yourself up with steaming mulled wine or hot chocolate.

Handbags allowed, leave large bags at home.

Admission: 60 SEK. Children up to 15 years old enter for free.

Lucia at 13:00 both days.

The Choir Stämning from the By-Folkärna parish, under the direction of David Johansson, will come and perform Lucia songs both days.

Avesta Folk dance guild on Saturday, December 16th.

At 11:30 and 12:15 in the Rosthuset.

Competitions

Guess the gingerbread building.

Vote for which of the municipality's preschools dresses the Christmas tree best.

To eat

In Café Verket in the Rosthuset we serve coffee with a Christmas theme. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, mulled wine, saffron buns, gingerbread and delicious sandwiches.

There is also a café in Martinhallen floor 00.

Avesta/Grytnäs parish sells rice porridge and ham sandwiches in the Masugnshallen on level 0.
