The Blower machine from 1884.

With sound and synchronized video mapping technology, Håkan Lidbo and Tom Waldton breathe new life into the old behemoth. Tom Waldton has translated the drawings into digital three-dimensional models which - via video mapping - are projected onto various parts of the blast furnace. Håkan Lidbo has interpreted both the pulse and breath of the blast furnace, as well as the designer's factual descriptions, in a sound work accompanied by physical vibrations at the spectator's location. "We want to develop new ways of portraying industrial history," says Håkan Lidbo and Tom Waldton.

Based on the site and Bolinder's original drawings, they have created a work that seamlessly moves between industrial history and the bold expression of contemporary art.

Audiovisual installation, 2016.
