Artists Carin Ellberg and Per Svensson have created new joint works for Avesta Art 2025, such as the sculptural installation Connected Species, where interconnected individual parts form a cluster of form, movement, light and sound, paintings and the film Movements inside. They also show a number of individual works. The film and sculptures take place in the massive, raw Martinhall of the Verket and the paintings in the blackbox. Carin Ellberg has participated in Avesta Art before, but this is the first time for Per Svensson.
Ellberg lives and works in Stockholm, she works mainly with drawing, painting and sculpture. In 1989 she received her Master of Fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm. Per Svensson is a sculptor, visual and sound artist and musician living and working in Gothenburg. Educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm 1985 – 1990, and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture 1999 – 2000. Svensson's work moves between different worlds; between alchemy, art and architecture.
