Garden writer Elin Unnes on the kitchen garden's toughest plants

At 3:00 PM in Rosthuset with entrance at the main entrance of the plant.

Price: Included in the entrance fee to Verket/Avesta Art Of Things Unseen

The plants and herbs of the kitchen garden can be used for so much more than just food. Inspired by the cultural environment around Verket, author Elin Unnes talks about the kitchen garden's toughest plants – both easy to grow and useful for both food and drink and much more. There will be cultivation, harvesting, processing and probably a pinch of scoundrel too.

Elin Unnes is a music and gardening journalist. She has written several books about growing, including The Secret Gardener (2014), Herbariet (2016) and most recently Den parfymerade trädgården (2020). She regularly writes for Namn och nytt in Dagens Nyheter and writes columns for Allt om Trädgård. Elin divides her time between Stockholm, Paris and a house in Sörmland.
