Kids & family
Here at Verket we wish big and small welcome to take part of the business!
We hope to offer experiences that span the generations. Discovering, experiencing and having fun together in the exhibitions is something we think is valuable. Think about and discuss the art together, form an imaginative sculpture together with grandpa in "Art Workshop" or challenge the cousin on some clumsiness in "Baghdad"?
When we are in an industrial history environment, one should keep in mind that it can be dark and uneven floor surfaces, for example. Children under the age of 13 must be in the adult's company
- Entrance for strollers, wheelchairs are available, announce in the entrance so we open you.
- Elevator is available for all floors
- Toilets with changing tables are located in Rosthus and Corneliussalen.
- Possibility of loaning micro for heating of baby food included in the café and Corneliussalen.
In the café we sell cakes, sandwiches, ice cream and hot and cold drinks.
To be sure that the Art Workshop and Baghdad are open during your visit, please contact the Works. It sometimes happens that the room is rented out for, for example, a children's party or conference.
Young art Dalarna
Anoda Ung Konst Dalarna is a development project owned by the County Council Dalarna, the unit Scen Dans Konst. Avesta Art has been commissioned by the County Council Dalarna to run the project. Film in Dalarna is a partner.
The project develops a network with an infrastructure for forms of collaboration between Dalarna municipalities, we call it a node system. We test forms of communication, exchange of ideas and continuing education. We do this together with active players (nodes) in the field of artistic creation for children and young people.
Children and young people in Dalarna should, to a greater extent than today, have the opportunity to create their own artistic creation, meet professional artists and take part in artistic expressions
Anoda is based on commitment, participation and own responsibility - the work forms therefore grow slowly and through a curious research approach in order to achieve long-term stability and eventually become a natural part of the municipalities' regular activities.
