Saadia Hussain (b.1973) is based in Stockholm. Her work involves collaborating with others and sharing different processes of creativity. For her site-specific installation at Avesta Art, a workshop was held, with participants ranging from children to seniors. Inspiration material was produced which she developed and transformed into her own design language. The piece is intended to beautify and enhance a specific place in Verket. Her work is colorful, with narratives embedded in the patterns and with common themes about home, identity, power, class and tradition.

Saadia Hussain has studied art at the National College of Arts in Lahore and Konstfack in Stockholm.
