Jonas Brandin (b.1974) was raised in Ludvika, Dalarna, and is living and working in Stockholm. Central to Jonas´ work are situations or events, frozen in a moment, as a concentration of his thoughts. These frames appears to him, almost like microdreams. The artist’s wish is that we who observe, look beyond the motif as part of the art piece, but instead experience the moment and find your own interpretation of it. For this year’s Avesta Art season, he will exhibit sculptures and black and white illustrations.

Jonas Brandin has a masters degree in Fine Arts from the Royal Institute of Art, in Stockholm.
