Henrik Haukeland (b.1980), previously based in Västerås, works and lives in Australia. This season at Avesta Art he will exhibit an installation on the theme of cloning. Conceptually, his work often deals with the body—both physical and social—as well as the corresponding ideas of consumption, excess, and transformation. Henrik is a multidisciplinary artist. His work often represents a meeting between the safe and unsafe, but with a twist of humor.

Henrik Haukeland has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Bergen in Norway, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts, Umeå, Sweden.
