Carin Ellberg (b.1959) is based in Stockholm. In this year’s Avesta Art season Carin exhibits her water colour paintings and a sculpture. She uses material she finds in her surroundings, such as stone, glass and iron. The materials can be linked to the place where the artwork is displayed and created, and where everything in different ways, is connected. Her design language can be characterized as organic, and nature is present as a theme in much of her work. Carin Ellberg is educated at the Royal Institute of Art, in Stockholm.
