(b. 1971) Lives in Stockholm
Helene relates to structures in form and texture. Her roomdrawing provides a contrast to the coal, the soot, the site itself and its architecture and atmosphere. Hanging from the ceiling and growing from the floor, the shapes burst their way forth. By linking them together with thin threads, Helene enhances the feel and character of the medium of drawing. A graphic effect is achieved in the staggering size. Helene associates the white organic shapes with the shapes of skeletons from beings unknown to us, alluding to traces of an ancient culture of a time before our own.
